Made a formal complaint with Animal Control regarding neighbors pack of dogs, which 15 were removed out of 20. Vicious. Could not catch the others.
Week later I went to Animal Control to check on status of complaint, as still not satisfied with compliance. Officer told me among other things " Well, we took 15, isn't that enough for you?" Also, "he says you've got a bunch of cats running around" and also "Well, your other neighbor called me to complain about your cats." Expecting retaliation, I pressed the officer to answer if this was a formal complaint placed by the neighbor. Twice he said"he called me"..asked AGAIN..if this was a formal complaint..and he said, "He called me on my phone." Facts were, he was called at HOME, by the neighbor who knows him through church, not the office of Animal Control. Our County Ordinance is specific as to complaints...if someone has a tresspassing animal issue, the owner, if known, SHALL be notified by certified mail. We have not been issued any notices. This officer was aggressive, intimidating, and harrassing in his tone to me. Once I left the office, apparently they also had a good laugh based upon the " boy, she can dish it, but can't take it", because I was placed on the defensive. This remark was repeated to my husband during a phone call to the chief officer later. Needless to say..I am angry, but have my rights been trampled? I am victimized by both a substaintiated complaint I made due to inhumane treatment of animals, and by the officer that showed me little respect in the matter. Help? CB |

That was rude agreed, but not too much you can do in that situation except report it to the Board and/or a supervisor, and they may act.
