Angry pain and suffering

my family was terrorized by a lady in a full sized truck. she was my husband's employee and became obsessed with him. she showed up at my house one afternoon in the midst of us filling out a restraining order against her (she began to display erratic behavior and left threatening messages). she plowed her truck through my front lawn and within 8 feet of my front window - from which i was standing at the time. she stopped short because of a tree and my porch railing. she then pulled back and took of forward, hitting my van which was parked on the driveway.

the police took her away on a number of felony charges, but by the time it got to the da, only felony vandalism was left, now that has been plea-ed down to misdemeanor vandalism and probation.

we now have bills for the therapy we had to pay for. my children still have nightmares, as do i and every time we hear a loud engine rev, we all freak out. not to mention, she is still stalking my husband.

Default Re: pain and suffering

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against her (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to her behavior...
