Dear colleagues, I am civil law country lawyer (Europe) and I know almost nothing about common law.
I need rules of New York for contracts of gift. If I’ve understood correctly “The civil code of the State of New York” is very old one. I have not found text and I am not sure it is still valid. I guess it should be replaced by case law or something like this. My question: how can I understand more about contract of gift law of NY, especially during 1970-1990 period. Legislation, case law, etc.? Sources in internet are welcomed particularly. Thank you. |
