Default vendor has disabled my software from working, forcing me to pay

Hello. I purchased a software product from a vendor 6 years ago. The vendor has disabled my software from working, forcing me to pay for their latest version. They say that they do not support the old version, which is fine. But can they just turn-off my software -- it operates independently. I filed a suit in small claims court, and would like to file a class action suit if possible.

Normally no they cannot disable it unless you had agreed to that earlier somehow.

You may file in small clams and/or threaten to file with the state attorney general's office as well.
