Default credit card liability

I live in Arkansas and I am in Pennsylvania right now. I have a greendot prepaid visa card. The motel charged my motel for one week to many. I realized this Saturday, we called greendot, and they had him fax a release to reverse charges. I checked out of motel this morning, greendot has not credited my account back. They told me it would be 10 business days before it would be posted. I have pay checks in my mailbox at home but no way to get them. I told them I only had $60 left and was 1500 miles from home and had to be back at work on july 1st. They insist there is nothing they can do, I would have to wait. If I have to stay in a shelter here waiting for another week, and lose my job, do I have a legitimate lawsuit? They refuse to cooperate with me. I know there is a way that they can credit my account back, but they say it isnt possible. I just dont believe there is no such thing as cant. What can I do about this?

The card company should help you reverse the charge; have you spoken with them?

And/or you may sue the motel in small claims if need be.

Yes I spoke with them for 30 minutes, they said 10 working days from the day the motel sent the fax reversing charges. They tell me there is no way to credit it back to my account before then, which I know that nothing is impossible. They dont seem to care about the situation, even spoke with the supervisor, and she showed the same cold attitude about my situation.
