Slandered by former boss

I have begun a modest campaign of exposing my former boss. He hired me to do some work, and then "ran out of money" owing me more than 20K USD. To me, that's a lot of money. His "company" is just a SE Asia boiler room scam. I have been pointing that out in a few venues on the net.

His response has been to put out about a dozen press releases about me, accusing me of being a pedophile.

There is absolutely no basis for this accusation. I could probably bring 200 character witnesses into play, half of them being children.

However, a subpeona of his investor list would reveal a long history of ripped off and disgruntled people who have trusted this con man with their lives. Mine is only one of the dozens of lives he has negatively impacted.

He lives in Thailand, possibly spending time in Australia. Any hope of recourse?

Sorry for your situation. This is a complex situation complicated by the different jurisdictions involved. Truthfully, the bottom line is you need to speak with a lawyer in your locale. If you go to their main page, you should be able to get some information from WLD. They have lawyers all over the world, and for this type of matter that really needs to be your first step.
