Normally subpoenas are issued to call for some records and a judge's signature is not required. A signature of the clerk of judicial records is more than sufficient for issuing a subpoena. If you have not complied with the subpoena , they can seek the intervention of the court to issue a court order to produce the documents , which would of course have the judge's signature.
