Default fired

My fiance has worked for this company for 11 months now. When a person is hired on full time here they are given 80 hours of family sick time. Plus at six months you are given a weeks vacation. My fiance was just fired because they say you can't use all of your 80 hours in a years time or your fired. They fired him saying that he supposed missed like 160 hours of work but didn't show him any papers showing when he missed, didn't tell him his hours missed at his review time which they are supposed to do, I know because I work here and just got my review. The day after he was fired he called corporate in DesMoines and asked how something missed with a doctors excuse could be held against him. They told his that it shouldn't have been but they also said they don't have any doctor notes in his file. We went to his doctor and got all notes she wrote which equaled 64 hours then adding 40 vacation hours to that you get 104 hours that aren't to be held against him. Even IF he did miss 160 that would only put him at 50 some unexcused hours. Now nobody is returning our phone calls when we got our proof and made our point. What would any of you suggest we do next?

Default Re: fired

He could file a complaint with the nearest dept of labor office as a first step...they should not fire for sickness etc.
