Sued by Capital One (suing for credit card debt)
How can a credit card company like Capital One charge off bad debt and then wait years later and turn around and sue me for it? I have never heard of a credit card company suing for credit card debt before, especially in Texas. Is this something new that they are starting? Is it something to really worry about? I couldn't afford to pay the debt obviously and if I could now I would have but I can't. I can barely afford the gas for my car or my mortgage payment, etc. With all of this uncertainty in our world today creditors like Capital One feel it necessary now to add this extra stress and pressure by suing America for money we obviously don't have. With actions like these it's no wonder we will more than likely be in a depression soon.

I also have been sued by capital one, I did not get any letters or anything about a court date. I have no recolection of having this credit card at all. the reason I finally found out about this my employer sent a letter to me telling my wages have been garnished. How is it legal to do this without my knowledge? It seems I should have gotten a certified letter or something. I called the attorney that is handleing this they said I owed 2500.00 but after the fees intrest I owe 6,000.00. Now they are taking 25% of each paycheck not once a month each paycheck this is over 1000.00 a month I cannot afford this I will lose my car I cant pay my bills. I just can't believe this is legal. I will probably have to file bankruptcy. Please is there anything I can do?
