I am very against these new gambling operations!! Wish there was something effective to do?
June 27 -- A 2007 law authorizing state-owned casinos and slot parlors in Kansas is constitutional, the state Supreme Court ruled Friday. The Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported that the high court's ruling paves the way for a casino in Wyandotte County and slot machines at the Woodlands. The court said it saw no reason to strike down the law and the system set up by lawmakers was constitutional. At issue was whether the state truly "owned and operated" the casinos even though they were to be run by contractors. "While the state is not the exclusive owner and operator of all aspects of the lottery enterprise under (the law), the state owns and operates the enterprise itself and owns and operates key elements of the lottery," the ruling states. |

I think it will help raise money, all the other states seem to be doing it.
Now all towns here are booming the way some may be, or where you may be. |
