Default Dont know what to do, please help

My friend recently got a truct that was cosigned by his ex girlfriend, and now they have broken up. He has made payments to her on the $1500.00 down payment, they verbally agreed after the 1500.00 was paid that transfer the truck into my friend name. since he has broken up with her, she reported the truck stolen last night while we were driving it, so we left the truck at an apartment complex and now she is asking him where the truck was left. so my question is, should he tell her where the truck is or not. PPLEASE HELP ANYONE THANKS

Whoever is on title should get it and keep it if the two cannot agree--he can sue her in court for any payments that were made that she she has now wrongfully kept or caused him to lose.

I would have your friend check the laws in your state in the matter of co-signing a legal contract (ex. buying a car, renting a home, ect.) I do believe like the other reply to your question about who ever is on the title of the vehicle is the rightful owner. If the friend's ex is the only name on the title she is legally entitled to the vehicle and his best bet would be to gather as much evidence he can proving that he in fact made payments or helped pay for the vehicle while they were together. Then he take her to small claims and try and win what is rightfully his.
