serve socialism and uphold correct guidance ... i love it
"Online video providers had to build an internet culture with Chinese characteristics and safeguard cultural information security, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and Ministry of Information Industry said in a statement. Big investors in such providers would be held responsible with website managers for the content they offered, which should serve socialism and uphold correct guidance, the regulators said. In practice, Chinas privately owned video sites already censor their content, removing politically or socially sensitive clips on their own initiative and at the request of propaganda officials. But many clips that are available online would be unlikely to make it on to state TV." |
