China has condemned a US decision to impose heavy import duties on Chinese-made tyres, accusing the Obama administration of “rampant protectionism” that could damage the recovery in the global economy.
Washington announced the new duties on Friday evening, placing a new duty of 35 per cent on Chinese tyre imports on top of an existing 4 per cent tariff. |
