Competition takes toll on China Mobile
China Mobile, the world's largest wireless operator by subscribers, reported the slowest growth in interim profit since the company listed in 1997 amid heated competition triggered by last year's wide-ranging industry reshuffle.
It also warned that both margins and average revenue per user – a gauge of profitability – would be under pressure as the number of mobile subscribers continued to rise and the company signed up more low-end customers. More... |
