I have a friend who had a baby at age 16. Her parents took her to court and got custody of the child. She is now married and has two sons. She has never been on drugs or alcohol, her parents got custody for the simple fact that she was to young. She wants her daughter to raise in her home with her and her other children. What does she need to do to get custody of her daughter without expensive fees?

She can ask for a custody hearing even without hiring a lawyer if need be.
If she is stable and has a good home now the courts may very agree that circumstances have changed, and give custody back to her--she is the mother after all! |
