Default Help with my husband please?

My husband went to jail on thursday Feb. 21st 2008, he was not granted a Courtdate right away, and he will now go to court on monday Feb 25th. They said he was pulled in on a government warrent from Indiana for back child support owed, his bail is set at $25,000, with possible bond. I can\'t bond him out, as I have a baby due in 3 weeks. They wanted to extradite him right away, but he requested to see a judge first. This also happend back in 2005 and a bail was set at $2,000, he was bonded out, and went to his court dates religiously. He proved his innocence by showing recipts of all child support he paid, and the court papers proving that the child support case was closed and he no longer owed anything. This being the case if we had the papers still we would be able to present them in Court, but sadly they were lost in a fire last year. If they send him back to Indiana, what can we do? What are our options for keeping him here in Colorado? And can he get his extradition waiver'd? Also I did not think that Colorado honored warrents from other states. Any advice would be great. Thank you so much. The Koehler Family.

There have to be records somewhere--at her bank or the state.

Either ask the state to help collect them or see if a lawyer or public defender can do so.

Although you lost the proof in a fire, there should be proof available in the court file from the last time he was in court. You should get copies of that evidence and transcript/minutes from the court file.
