Texas matter: child is 8 years old. mother filed for child support with atty gen. office and they had hearing and awarded her a set amount. father said he couldn't afford it and they set another hearing. when mother showed up, father, his atty and his wife were their and his atty said he's denying paternity and wants test. atty gen said they have nothing to do with that, they had 60 days to do test and scheduled another hearing. how does mother know that that paternity test will be legit if it's left up to the father and his attorney? and father doesn't see child, by his choice, so how will they obtain dna from child?

The court will issue an order for both parents to report to the lab, the mother will be ordered to bring the child to the lab also. It is nearly impossible to fake test results, so the mother really doesn't have to worry too much about that. |
