Your partner can go to court and ask that the court order that neither parent is allowed to speak badly of the other parent to or around the child.
Once that is in a court order, your partner would need to gather evidence to prove contempt and have the order enforced.

There is already a court order inplace to this nature, how can we prove the x-wife is saying these things to the daughter without it creating more grief to the daughter ??

I have the same problem only in reverse my ex husband continuously denegrates me to our two kids as does his wife.

I also have it in the court orders that he is not allowed to do this. In reality there is not much you can do unless you are willing to drag his daughter through the court process as well and have her literally take sides.

The only thing your partner can do is NOT to act in kind, if he can't say anything nice about his ex partner then he is better off not saying anything. As for the child it might be a good idea to get her into counselling where she can talk to a unrelated third party.

For your own records keep a diary of what is said and when and under what circumstances so that if it ever does just get too much to bear you have 'evidence' of denegration to take to court.

On a personal note the best way I have found to combat this is to just keep putting the child's needs first, my 2 boys know I love them and that I care and nothing my ex or his wife says can change that.

Good luck!

the courts do nothing anywhere. i thought it was like this only in Ct. My husbands ex has totally brainwashed his 13 year old son. It is terrible and the court order was in place and she didnt listen to it and they didnt care. Good Luck

WE cant prove anything. this is your partners issue to deal with. you have nothing to do with this, and should stay out of it. legally it doesnt concern you.

Is there something seriously wrong with your comprehension skills? It appears you consistently fail to notice the dates these posts are authored. The response you gave to this post is TWO YEARS OLD. Check the date. January 23, b2008!

Why you feel such a tenacious compulsion to dredge up old posts only to insistently add the same droll "advice" can only be as a result of some sort of emotional imbalance in you. You have been going around these threads doing this ad nauseam. Your time would be better spent in a psychiatrist's chair.
