I live in Texas and I can't find much information on visitation rights, mine is a little different than most, I would like to know if I do not visit can I be held in contempt as long as my child support payments are made? I do have court ordered visitation rights.

No, you cannot be held in contempt for not using your visitation RIGHTS. However, it is possible that you could lose those visitation rights all together if you have not made use of them for a long period of time. Further, if your CS order takes into consideration visitation time, your ex could take it back to court and have the support increased because visitation is not being used. |
