My son has a child out of wedlock they share joint custody and pays child support. He is no longer courting the mother of the child. What is his parental rights, can the grandmother adopt the child without his consent or what is his chances of him getting full custody of the child. Kay

The child must be in some type of harm for a grandparent to step in and try adoption without the biological parents consent. This must be proven in a court of law that the child is in danger or neglected. The first step is to call child welfare services if and only if the child is in danger, abused, or neglected in any way.
