Hello,
I'm am an 18 year-old young woman who's origionally from Jeffersonville, IN. who moved to Puerto Rico about 2 years ago to be with my 25 year-old boyfriend. Since then, I've had an baby. My son is now 1 & things aren't working with his father & I so I have decided to move back to IN. with my son but his father says that if leave, he'll have me arrested for Kidnapping! Can he legeally do that? He 'll quite a bit older & has a pretty good job. I don't speak hardly any spanish & I haven't had an actual job since I've lived here, however I have had a baby, finished high school, helped renovate the house he bought while taking full care of our son & being a housewife. Our son has been with me every day, all day long since the day he was born. I think that no matter who gets custody of him, he's going to suffer some type of truma but I also think that taking him away from the only person he's seen everyday, all day long is going to be quite a bit more stressful & a lot more trumatic! Based on the informatiom I've givin' you, could you tell me I can & can't do, and what are my chances of getting custody of him? Thank you for your time, Jacqueline' |

You can move but the father will have to have some kind of access normally.
If you two cannot agree, he can file in court to have a court review the situation, and make an order as to how this should be arranged. |
