2kids, 1 w/disability live w/1parent and the other live w/other parent

My husband and I will be divorcing in FL. I will have custody of my son who have a disablity and my teen age daughter will want to live with her father because I will not let her get away with what she does. Will I be entitled to receive some child support due to son having a disability?

With him having one and you having one they usually dont make only one pay the other one, but in your case they sometimes grant it because of the child having a disability. Sometimes they even let you draw child support on the special needs child even after they turn 18. It will probably depend on the type of disability that child has. I would atleast go to a consultation with a lawyer to see what your possibility's are.

They dont even make in fl.disabled adult child pay cild support.I dont belive any ssi child can recive support.SSI is basically a welfare program. Not saying child dont deserve it.But its needs based .Correct me if i am wrong.Now SSDI they can deduct child support.

Depends on the income difference of the parents as to whether or not any child support would be owed. The disability does throw a bit of a twist. I assume he'd have to cover part of all costs regarding any special needs.
