My ex-husband has custody of our son and has been deployed to Iraq & will be there for 15 months. He is making my 14 year old son stay with his stepmother in Tennessee while he is away. I live in Alabama, naturally my son wants to come stay with me while his father is gone. Can I just go withdraw him from his school there in Tennessee and enroll him in school here in Alabama without an attorney. After all, I am his mother and I don't have the money to hire an attorney.

It will depend on what your court order specifically states. If you'll post EXACTLY (leaving out names) what the custody/visitation order states, maybe we can help you figure out what steps to take. |
