Question Please give an opinion... I am ready to relinquish my right as her mother.

I have a 16 year old daughter who moved to another state to live with her father 2.5 years ago. Since he and his wife have been doing everything to turn her against me and make our relationship next to impossible to maintain. She has quit talking to me and I am only allowed to call on their home phone. She is never home, so we never talk. I have been paying $100 a month in child support. Except for the months I am recovering from paying for her plane tickets on her twice a year visitation. I only get to see her 4 weeks a year. I received notice I am supposed to appear in court, in their state, in 11 days. The day before Thanksgiving. Her father made the court date a month and a half ago. His lawyer mailed the notice out last week. I called to get an extension and was told I couldn't because I didn't file. Coincidently, the family law division is closed until the 19th. I am ready to relinquish my right as her mother, based on the fact we have no existing relationship adn do not see anyting changing in the future. I hate the fact I have lost my daughter, but am at the end of my rope. Every time we do get close her step mother interferes. I am planning on sending the requested information to the court, along with a letter explaining why I am unable to be present. Should I just do as the saying says "If you love something, let it go?" (meaning go ahead and sign off rights?)

Is the court hearing for contempt based on your non payment of CS?
If so, you really need to be in court.

No, you will not be able to give up your rights, unless the step mother wants to adopt.
