"Taken Into Custody" by Stephen Baskerville
Why the "deadbeat dad" is not only a myth but a hoax - the creation of government officials who plunder parents whose children the government itself has taken away. A parent whose children are taken away by a family court is only at the beginning of his troubles. The next step he is summoned to court and ordered to pay as much as two-thirds or even more of his income as "child support" to whomever has been given custody. His wages will immediately be garnished and his name entered on a federal register of "delinquents." This is even before he has had a chance to become one, though it is also likely that the order will be backdated, so he will already be delinquent as he steps out of the courtroom. If the ordered amount is high enough and the backdating far enough, he will be an instant felon and subject to immediate arrest. It is difficult to believe such a thing can happen in a country with the Bill of Rights...." This book really exposes the truth a must read for those who refuse to believe what is happening in this country right now Reply With Quote |

I agree it does not seem that the system really operates fairly these days. It has become a bureaucratic machine.

I agree that the system needs some work. However, no matter how messed up the system is, it is wrong to refuse to pay CS, and even worse to leave the country to evade CS enforcement. The parents who are good parents will pay what they can, even if it's not what the court ordered, and they stay in the country and work to change the laws. The parents who are not good parents, won't pay any CS at all, then leave the country and feel like they have the right to complain about the laws. They don't have that right, they gave up that right when they left the country. Yes, it's me again and yes, I'm talking about deadbeat parents like you. |

It boggles my mind that "fathers" complain about doing what is right for their children. Why do they try to hide income, hide themselves, do anything to not pay what they should? I am sure that there are many mothers taking advantage of the system, not using the money for the children, but I sure see (and am victim myself) allot of fathers not wanting to step up to the plate and have UNCONDITIONAL love for their children. Even if you don't agree with something....it's for your CHILD...stop being selfish!

If you'll read this poster's posts you'll see that he is a deadbeat in the truest sense of the word. Unfortunately he is also extremely stupid and hardheaded, and will NOT listen to any reason at all. He's not going to heed anyone's posts other than anyone who agrees with him. |
