Default income used for child support (isn’t a 40 hour week enough?)

Hello,

I am recently separated from a 21 year marriage. During the last 10 years I worked 2 jobs so that my wife could stay home with the children. Now, the court is going to charge me child support from both incomes. Isn’t a 40 hour week enough? Why am I being discriminated against for being forced to work 12 hours a day 7 days a week?

Thanks for your response,

Tom

You can show the court what you make in a normal 40 hour week and the court should adjust support to key off of that income. If not you could appeal.
