advice required if we could ask for full custody of the girl -6yr. No child support from his side, no visitation ask/nor wanted, also they do not know his where about in the world he is. these all legal rights is mostly wanted and required for school, other ID requirements need his signature. but they have nothing in hand to prove that their is no connection bwt the two parties at ALL. last seen the child when she was couple of weeks. how do they approach this matter. await for positive guidance.

Yes the mother can--but does she not have it already with him not in the picture. A court will give her what she wants if he has basically abandoned the child at this point.

thanks for the reply. so this is going to be valid even if both the childs parents are re married.
