Question I need to work!

According to the state of Louisiana and Ohio(where my child and ex-wife
live) I owe an accrued amount of child support in the amount of
approximately $35,000. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and have found myself with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have applied for disability through the veteran's administration. I have been waiting for a reply on it for over two years. I have as of late felt able to work, but I have a wife and two other children. I have been informed that if I am employed that sixty percent of my income would be given to my ex-wife for child support. My child support was set at $700 a month(for our 1 child) about six years ago. I want to help the support of my family, but am finding that if I am employed all state helps would be stopped due to my and my wife's gross taxable income. We would not receive our food stamps or be eligible for childcare. After the money is taken from my check or willingly paid we could not afford childcare or food. If we are to ever stand up from the crutches provided by the state I must be allowed to work without such a high payment against me. I haven\'t worked in two years due to PTSD, but I do want to at this time. Is it possible for me to get this fixed so that I can work? If so: Is it possible to get the debt reduced due to the time I wasn\'t making the amount of money I was making when the Child support was set? And: How would I go about getting these things done expediently?

Normally you can only get it reduced from here on out. But the courts sometimes do adjust even past amounts for special circumstances. But you do need to get in front of the judge, explain your situation, and get this reduced, now!
