PLEASE HELP QUICKLY..Son W/TBI & his Wife could be crazy!

My son has Mild TBI-his wife has cancer, being cured hopefully successfully. She recently finished chemo. Found out she has had mental issues since they met 14 yrs. ago. 5 Grandkids in the middle of all this. Recently she did a Bogus restraining order against my son stating False Rage. He contested and proved it to be false. It was dismissed 10 days ago. She secretly wanted to get out of the marriage for a long time, but evidently more so in the past 2 yrs. since sons' TBI; He has finally asked for help since no one knew of the problems with her. (Tho we all felt she was a bit odd.) He can't provide the modest income/support anymore as he used to. He is now on Soc. Security Disability. No more big $ coming in. She is the one with the problems...and commented 2 times previously to son "she'd rather her and the kids be dead than for them to be with him." Pretty serious comments I think. She is jealous of the kids, and doesn't like people around. She basically ruled the roost until the TBI actually woke up our son to realize how he's been a puppet for all these years. She moved out w/out letting him know where before he could get into the home after the OFP was dismissed, and she's getting all kinds of help with pretentious exaggeration of her problems. Son hasn't seen kids for near 5 weeks now. NO ONE WILL HELP!!!: Human Services, Sheriff, Court etc; They seem to be all together and somewhat Bias toward son. Small town politics.... Trying to get help from an Atty., yet hard to with no money. He lost his successful business 2 yrs. ago from TBI. He filed for a custody hearing, but they put it on the docket toward end of month. Now more weeks go by, and it helps her as she manipulates the kids into believing their dad is dangerous. That is far from the truth. We are all VERY concerned about her comment... IS there a way to get an earlier custody hearing? He attempted and emergency one, and an OFP on her, but they were denied. PLEASE HELP WITH ADVICE QUICKLY. What can we do to get those kids into my sons' care asap before something bad happens? He is the one who was their caregiver 70% of the time,even before her cancer.

WE dont do anything. this is your son's battle. you have no standing in this matter at all. let your son handle it.

Thanks for the response. However, he does need help from us since he has asked for it due to his TBI. I would love to stay out of it. I have for 14 yrs. until now. I will reword the ?....What can HE do?

Unless there is some serious problem no judge is going to ban him from seeing the kids. He needs to show that he is responsible and that time with them is productive etc. and the court will work to arrange time for both parents.

he can also seek an emergency temporary order to govern until the final order
