I am the father of two children one turning 14 the other turning 17 i have had full custody for last 13 years. The children have recently decided they want to try and live with their mom. Now the mother wants full custody and child support. I never received any child support from her, and never received anything from the house, left it all to her. Is this possible for her to do.

I wish to inform you that court considers best interest of child as main consideration. Further child support is paid by non custodial parent to custodial parent. If house ownership is in your name then you can obtain rent from premises and set off with child support or evict mother. Mother can claim child support based upon fact that she is maintaining kids.

Sure it is.

The children are entitled to child support, but they don't get it unless the custodial parent actually ASKS for it. You decided not to, for whatever reason. Since Mom is going for full custody, she has also chosen to assert her right to have you pay child support.

From the age of the children, it is likely a court would accede to their wishes. C'mon now. The children have two parents. They have lived with you for 13 years you say and now would like to spend time with their mother as primary parent.

Both parents are responsible for supporting their children. Since you did not ask for support, the court did not award it. She may file for support and any order will be based upon the earnings of the parents and the expenses of the children.
