If my ex husband was suppose to pay for medical insurance for my kids and did not because he got remarried and moved to Texas and rejoined the Army can I sue him for the money that I have had to pay for their medical needs? I am in Indiana. If so does anyone know of a lawyer that could help me with this issue? He has now moved back to Indiana since the kids are over 18. He says that now since he gets disability there is nothing I can do.

Why did you not take him back to court for contempt when he stopped paying for medical insurance?

What your ex is saying is "TAC", "try and collect." There's having a judgment. Then there's collecting. You may be up a creek on the latter.

I agree with Sandy did you have a court order what did it say? Until we or your lawyer knows this there isnt much anyone can do to answer you. Far as finding a lawyer its a gamble that someone here will know of an Attorney in your area. Open the yellow pages and start calling. Since many Attorneys offer free consultations you can get many before you decide who you want to work on your case
