I have a sister who is 9 years old now and her father is an American. Her father didn't gave any child support to her. Her father used to had the DNA test for the three of them my sister, my mom and the father. The DNA result was positive but the bad thing is my mother doesn't had any copy of it that's why she didn't know where to start. And the father didn't even sign the birth certificate of my sister. please help us what should we do to get some support for my sister. Thank you

I wish to inform you that mother will first be required to prove paternity. After paternity is established then court ordered child support will be required. If father lives in USA then child support order in Philippines may not be enforced in USA and thus only property available in Philippines will be ordered to meet court ordered child support. Alternatively your mother can seek order from a US court regarding child support.

If there is no record of the DNA results, then the first thing your mom needs to do is file for a child support order. That order will require that the presumptive father take a new DNA test. If the father is in the US, and your mom is in the Philippines, then it's going to be darn near impossible to collect any kind of child support from him. She probably should have thought about before choosing this person to be the father of her child.
