My daughter's boyfriend has threatened to take her baby...

While my daughter was pregnant he rarely visited. The only times her did he would show up unannounced, at all hours of the day and night. Usually when he was being kicked out of the place he was staying and tried to get her to talk us into taking him in, or he stayed only an hour or two and during that time he spent most of the time on the phone or slept. He has had many different jobs since November 2006 and is often between jobs. He has told her he would help with medical expenses and buy things for the baby(both gifts and needed items, such as diapers). He hasn't yet! During the long labor he slept, played games and left for food and a shower and change of clothes...etc. He only participated at the very end, after being asked if he was going to help. After the birth he bottle fed the baby for 5 minutes (and thats the last time he's done it). Now he says shes unfit and her wants the baby. She either gives him the baby or lets him have her where and whenever he wants, or he'll take her from her. Yet he can't or refuses to take care of her, change a diaper or burb her. Even though he's claimed to have taken care of a baby before. (When he thought the child was his.) As far as we know he doesn't have a steady job yet or a secure place to live. (he's at his dad right now, but his dad's asked him to leave before.) Is there any possibility that he can get custody?

There is no chance in my opinion--don't worry about that--but he still will be able to get some visitation.
