State: Texas
My ex and my two children are moving several hundred miles away to the opposite end of the state. My question is: Who is responsible for the travel expense. There is nothing in the divorce decree nor any where else about this. thanks |

Re: Travel Expenses
I have always had my children with me during a good portion of the summer and for a week or 2 around XMas time regardless of the ridiculous amount of CS I pay out to her. My question is simply this: When they move several hundred miles away from me (which is soon) who is responsible for all the travel. I have heard that it is generally the responsibility of the parent who creates the distance and I am simply wondering if this is the case.

If agree to the move you would both split it. If you do not agree you may ask the court to determine how it shall be paid.
