By court order, I enjoy visitation with my six year old son every other weekend, every wednesday, every other christmas, every other thanksgiving, on father's day, on my birthday, 4 weeks in the summer, etc.....

His mother phoned me today and told me that they were going on vacation from august 4th until august 12th. she has not previously spoken with me about it. this will take away one of my weekends, a wednesday, and also make the child miss my birthday celebration during that week. ALSO, i have not had my 4 summer weeks as of yet, and now with him being gone, presumably, august, i will not get the ordered summer visit either.

I am on the verge of taking her to court again. my question is this - what is the punishment for a custodial parent that violates the court order of visitation and messes up the visitation schedule without working it out with the non-custodial parent? By the way, i live in kentucky. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks! Viktor.

The parent could be fined, warned, lose visitation time or even be jailed. The order must be followed. Take it to court if need be.
