In reviewing my divorce decree, the child support section states,"Husband shall pay to the wife the sum of $*** per month as guideline's child support. The husband's obligation to pay child support imputes income to the father at minimum wage since the husband is currently unemployed and child care in the amount of $*** per month." What does this mean? Is he responsible for the child care or was that just a factor in arriving at the first total listed? My attorney is no longer available and I don't want to have to spend a lot of money just to have this put in layman's terms.

Sounds like it may have been included in the total but frankly you need to see the entire order to know for sure.
You could take it over to a child support enforcement office as well and get their opinion. |
