I am disabled, and receive social security for myself, then another check for my son. Is my son's check count suppose to be included in the amount I list when as my income for determination of child/spousal support? One free attorney I got said postively not, because that is my sons money and does not add in to mine that I have to declare.,but the free court facilitators say I have to add his and mine together and list it as my income, in addition to my own. Could someone provide an answer, as well as the number of the family code that supports that fact, so I have something to "argue" with? I live in California. If it cannot be combined, can I get retroactive difference since his lawyer furnshed incorrect information when I first got my amount award or does it just go to the corrected amount when and if it is ordered to be higher? thanks so much!

I'm wondering if there is anybody out there that can answer this question I have....
My ex, (we were never married) was ordered to pay child support. Recently, I was told that he is disabled and receives an SSI check, Can my daughter draw a check from him being disabled? IF so, how do we go about getting that started? |
