Question Brutal custody battle: My son's father found out I have PTSD

My son's father found out I have ptsd and is now trying to use that against me to get primary custody. We didn't agree in mediation and now we have court in Jan. He's now trying to say he wont let me see my son until we go to court unless I sign the parenting plan. I want to know if I can do that. I want to tell him he cant see our son until court unless he signs a temporary agreement so I know he'll bring him back. Am I able to do that?

If there is already court papers stating that either you or he gets visitation and one of you go against it, it's contempt.
If there isn't anything in stone yet, and you do with hold visitation until the court date, it may very well be to his advantage and bite you in the butt. Why would you play your child as a pawn to hurt this man? You are only going to confuse and hurt the child.
Think of your child first.

During the process of marriage annulment proceedings, the court determines the issue of child custody. The court always considers the best interest of the child in determining it. Once a custody order is made by the court, both parties are to abide it. Your son’s father can’t resist you from seeing the son nor can’t you oppose him from seeing the child. The final decision regarding the custody of the child will be taken by the court. Any person disobeying the court order shall be punished.

You'd be very foolish to withhold the child from him at the juncture. (or any juncture for that matter). It will be the difference between whether you obtain custody or not.

Both of you should see the child no matter what.

Not "shall".

But "can".
