Confused help

i live in fulton county georgia, i need to know if i have to agree to allow my daughters father to legitimize her. it has come to my attention that he has made statements that he is seeking to legit. and file for custody and give her to his sister because she can't have kids. only because he knows his wife does not want our daughter in their home and doesn't want him around me or talking to me. Do I have to do this or is there any way i can fight him on this? Please if anyone knows what i am able to do or should do please let me know!!!!

He will not possibly get custody away from you unless you have some major and serious problem--so don't worry about that. He could ask for and will receive some visitation however if he wants. He could also be made to pay child support if you wish, whether he sees her or not.

He has been giving a cp order, which he says is too much and thats another reason why he wants her, just to get out of paying that much money. i have never denied him visits with her but i just don't like the idea of her in his home knowing is wife doesnt want her there. that make me feel uneasy, i dont know that much about her other than the fact that she has made it very clear she doen't want "that baby" in her home.

You can ask that all appear in front of a judge and the judge may agree with you. But don't worry about losing custody.
