Can I move to another country with my son? I am his primary caregiver.
I am currently living in Saskatchewan and I am planning to move to Los Angeles, CA in August to attend university. I have a 1 year old son and I am wondering what legal action, if any i would need to take befor leaving the country with my son? My sons father and I are not together however my son does have his last name(it is hyphonated my lastname-his fathers lastname) I dont know if this makes any difference. I am his primary caregiver his father does not pay child support and he is currently on house arrest.

I wish to inform you that you may take your child to Los Angeles, CA after taking permission from father. You may inform father of child that you are taking child to Los Angeles, CA and may therefore after attaining consent of father you may take child to USA. If father refuses then you may take court order and can have the child with you to Los Angeles, CA.
