international custody
I am an American considering a move to Italy with my Italian husband with our 4-year old son. In the event that I decide that living in Italy isn't for me and I want to move back to the States, will I be precluded from bringing my son back with me (knowing my husband does not want to return to the US). I am worried that after a six month period of time, Italian law will prevent me from returning home with my son. Any legal advice?

Whichever court that one of you would file in would have jurisdiction, and that judge would decide. Normally some kind of travel or move is allowed, with conditions.
