Default Florida DCF Investigation for Child Neglect

My sister is currently being investigated by DCF for child neglect. About two years ago she lost custody of her first child who was 2 at the time for approximately 6 months. Then she was investigated about 8 months ago, now she is currently being questioned again by a DCF Investigator for allegations. She now has two children, 2 and 4 years of age. There have been allegations of drug abuse and neglect as far as I know.I am not positive of all of the circumstances at this point. I of course am concerned for everyones welfare. My question is: Is there a certain number of DCF investigations before they will just go ahead and remove the children from her care?

Default Re: Florida DCF Investigation for Child Neglect

I wish to inform that DCF in Florida is to investigate the matter in 60 days and the investigator will submit report. If it needs to be pursued with law enforcement, the report will be sent to it and the matter will be jointly investigated. Further, based on the investigator's report the DCF may take your sister's children into custody after the investigation or place them with a friend, relative or in a shelter. In the meanwhile, the matter will be reported to the court. The court will decide the matter in the light of the facts and the best interest of the children. When the children are taken away from your sister, she may be granted visitation rights by the court.
