Confused Moving out of state: We have no parenting plan

I have 2 children by my ex boyfriend, I want to move out of state, we have no parenting plan, do I have to let him know where I am, or just leave a contact number? He's not involved with his children, but he does pay a minimal amount of child support.

Is there any custody or visitation order?

Ive found that making yourself look cooperative is the best, just incase in the future you end up in court. If he isnt in the childs life anyway, it wouldnt hurt to give him the number.
