Default Making a complaint against a CPS investigator (New York)

I'd like to know is there a way to make a complaint against a cps investigator or is that something that i shouldn't mess around with? I know cps has a lot of power and I'm nervous to file any sort of complaint against them. I live in NY.

You can file a complaint. The advisability of it (or viability) depends on the circumstances.

If it is simply a matter of the person doing their job and you don't like how they did it or that they did it - too bad.

you can always file a complaint but always realize that even though they say things are confidential, info always has a way of leaking out.

what is the complaint, and why are you dealing with CPS.
also where at in New York

my stepson made up some vicious lies because he was pissed off that I told him not to hit my son so he went to his mother and said all these crazy things and his mother called cps on myself and my husband. The cps investigator was here for about 5 minutes and told me the allegations and never gave me a chance to defend myself or give him any background information. I never knew that was the only time I'd ever have a chance to speak to him before he made his decision. Then when the case was founded as being "indicated" I called the investigator and asked him why he concluded it as that and he told me all these different things that were not even mentioned in the report and there's a lot more to the story but it's complicated. I just don't think he handled the situation correctly and took the word of a six year old child who has behavioral and psychological problems.
