How would a non-custodial parent benefit from having joint legal custody in Arizona? Does joint legal custody effect the amount of visitation the non-custodial parent can have and/or does it effect the amount of child support paid by the non custodial parent?

The time spent with each parent also needs to be set but if it is 50/50 as is often the case with joint legal then support is generally not paid.
And you both get to decide on major issues like health and school and the like. |

My fiancee and his ex have joint legal custody, with him being the primary parent, or residential parent. Here in Oregon Joint legal custody just means that both parents have the legal right to participate and make decisions in education, medical, schooling, religion, etc. It does not give his ex any more parenting time and the child support is based on the amount of overnights she has per calendar year. example, she has them for 80 nights, Not 50/50, and pays 280 per month support for the two children.
