Some of the reasons could have been: Involved in sports and there was a practice/game that weekend. The last visit was a nightmare for the child, abuse, possibly? An argument with the father and a relationship that needs to be patched up, maybe?

It's easy to reply to questions. If one does not stop to think.
Its also quite easy to reply to others, chastise even, those that took the time to offer a response.

Get over yourself. Some children DON'T want to see the other parent and it's not usually the other parents fault.

Your attitude in your post may explain why the child doesn't want to come over. I wouldn't want to be around you either.
theres a lot of things children dont want to do like get up and go to school or do their homework. but unfortunately children dont have that choice. if they dont go to school they can be found truant and end up in juvi hall if they dont do their homework they fail.whatever the court order( and thats what it is an order not a suggestion)goes and the kid has to abide by it, wether they want to or not. if they dont the cp can face consequences, including a loss of custody.
