I have been seperated since 1992, my ex and I have two children, who were at the time of seperation ages, 15months and 5 years old. The agreement that we did ourselves and was later recognized by the court was the amount of child support would be 250 dollars half of what he had been paying from december of 1993 to the summer of 1994. My children are now 16years and 20 years old. The 16 year old made the decision to move in with her father on July 1 2006 and the 20 year old has been living with myself off and on, up to this month, he now lives on his own. I recieved a document in the mail that requires me to attend court for full child support, factoring my income would set the support payments to over 500 dollars. My question is would I be able to request back support based on my ex's income from july 1994. His income at that time was approximately 32 000 a year. The table amount of child support was always well beyond what he actually paid. Please inform me of the ontario law that could answer my question.

I don't blame the 16 year old. You are a greedy *****. You want to go back 10 years? For what? your 20 year old is an adult! and you think YOU'RE screwed over? Give me a break! Take a look at the Canadian laws as they stand now! I say to all men out there, get some lube, bend over and grab your ankles because you're gonna get the screwin' of a lifetime!! It's women like you who ruin the system, squeezing every last dime out of your ex's, and financially ruining the innocent kids of the second family. He's well rid of you! If he's single it's likely because you've wrecked the poor man for life. Cut your losses and move on. Leave the poor bastard alone to raise the girl properly. Maybe he'll put some sense into her head and with a wee bit of luck she won't turn out to be a pig like you. Hopefully the damage hasn't already been done. Your greediness makes me vomit.

I would let a court decide what is the amount she deserves.
There may be reasons to award past amounts or to deny. |

When the parents are not doing well it affects the children.
Leave each other alone and try to improve your lives. Chances are if you haven't collected in all those years it won't happen. |
