What are my rights in Texas
My ex-wife, our children and I moved to Texas in late July. She had many drug/gambling problems in Michigan and I niavely agreed to help her get a "fresh start".
We established a home in Texas and enrolled our kids in school. Last Thursday her former supplier/boyfriend showed up and she left with him and is living in a motel a few miles away. The children are with me. A nearly as I can deduce from (listening to my toddlers) is that they intend to take them back to Michigan. What are my rights? Would this be kidnapping? Is there anything proactive I can do to prevent loosing my kids? Thank for any advise. |

I agree file for custody asap -- you may have to do it in MI but you can try in TX too. meet with counsel asap!
