I have a 40 year old brother in law who has never held a job ( has not paid into social security) and is not disabled. His parents have both recently been placed in a nursing home. All the other family members assume he will live on welfare someday. I am not convinced he will be eligible for welfare. Can anyone cast any insight on this situation.
I am also concerned about ways to protect the parent's assets. They own two houses and a little farmland. Any suggestions on this issue? |
