Military Dad Needs Help ASAP!! Please Help!!

I have a friend who has a 12 year old daughter he is in the Army and an E5. As an E5 you really don't make all that much money he is newly married (under 2 years) and they have a new little girl. The trouble started many years ago when he deployed and while he was overseas his ex-wife took him to court to up her child support. Since he was overseas he could not fight her and she was able to base the child support off of his deployed paycheck and all of the extra entitlements that come with it. Now he pays 900 dollars a month for one child yes your heard me correctly 1 child. That by the way the mother will not let him see or talk to. He is completely current on his child support, but is stuggling to make it with his new family from month to month. He tried to have his child support reduced by taking her back to court about six months ago. But unfortunately she was able to get continuancs on the court dat now for almost six months and he is supposed to be shiping out in a few weeks. I am pretty sure she is trying to do the same thing she did last time so that she can get her child support based off of overseas pay. I don't feel like this is right and it really is tearing their family apart!!! I love this family his wife is one of my best friends and he is great to they truely are good people trying to do the right thing, but they just don't know what it is, they can not continue going in debt every month because they can not afford their living costs with the child support also. This man truely loves his daughter, but is now considering giving up his right because he can not pay his child support much longer. Please help!!!!

Giving up his parental rights will not absolve him of his financial obligation to continue to pay child support.
